Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), under Ministry of Ayush, Government of India has released a notification for 8 contractual posts in its headquarter at New Delhi through walk-in interview. Recruitment Drive against Advertisement No. 06/2026 on 05.11.2026 at 10:00 AM.
Name of the Post: Senior Consultant (Sanskrit), Consultant (Ayurveda), Consultant (Vigilance) – Retired, Office Assistant (Retired). Eligible Ayurveda professionals, Sanskrit scholars and retired Government officials possessing the required qualifications and experience may attend the interview.
The recruitment is to provide for immediate staffing needs and to establish panels of eligible candidates for future need. Interested candidates should report at the designated venue on time with the prescribed application proforma, supporting documents and original certificates for verification. Advertisement No. 06/2026 The Council invites professionals for consultancy, technical editing, research related assignments, vigilance and administrative functions. Appointments will be made on contractual basis to meet immediate requirements and to prepare panels for future needs. The tenure of the selected candidates can be curtailed or extended by the competent authority as per requirement/capability. This engagement is purely contractual and does not confer any right to regular appointment.
Senior Consultant (Sanskrit)
The expression of interest in the notification states that the Senior Consultant (Sanskrit) post is for assignments involving project-critical assessment, refinement, technical editing and publication of literary works.
Basic qualifications and experience:
- Acharya or equivalent post graduate degree in Sanskrit from a recognised university.
- More than 10 years of post qualification experience.
- Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph. D. in Sanskrit from a recognised university and more experience in manuscriptology.
- Experience in conservation, editing and digitising of ancient manuscripts and rare books.
- Ability to draft and revise scientific books and documents.
- Practical knowledge of computer applications.
- Experience in research projects funded by Ministry of Ayush, ICMR, DST or other Government of India organisations.
Age limit: Not exceeding 64 years on the date of interview.
Salary: ₹90,000/- per month consolidated.
Ayurvedic Consultant – 4 Positions
- A pre-test/post-test clinical trial study of effect of Ayush Rasayana.

- Critical evaluation, refinement, technical editing and publication of literary works, in conformity with the expression of interest stated in the notice.
Required qualifications and experience:
One of the following qualification and experience combinations must be satisfied by candidates:
- MD/MS (Ayurveda) from a recognised university with 5 to 10 years experience after qualification; or
- BAMS from a recognised university with 7 to 10 years experience after qualification.
